Mi presento

Hi, I'm Sara Nigro, a Clinical Psychologist and Transcultural Psychotherapist with an integrative psychodynamic orientation. I'm originally from Puglia, but I trained and worked in Milan, where I lived for twelve years before moving to France. Thanks to my personal experience and professional specialization, I have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come from living among multiple cultures, from having multiple "homes," each of which tells a different story of life and holds a distinct part of oneself. This awareness accompanies and guides my clinical and training work.

About me

Sara Nigro is a licensed clinical psychologist and transcultural psychotherapist based in Ferney-Voltaire, France. She has built her clinical experience across a wide range of contexts — from private practice to public and third-sector services — working with adults, adolescents, and couples navigating personal crises, relational difficulties, trauma, identity transitions, and the psychological complexities of living between cultures.

Her background includes extensive work in migration-related mental health, trauma processing, and gender-based violence, as well as teaching and supervision at university level and international training and consulting in the field of transcultural approaches to mental health. This breadth of experience informs a practice that is both clinically rigorous and deeply attentive to the social, cultural, and structural dimensions of each person's life.

Sara works from a psychodynamic and transcultural framework, with a particular sensitivity toward people living in cross-cultural contexts — expats, international professionals, migrants, and anyone navigating the experience of belonging to more than one world. She offers psychotherapy in Italian and English, both in person and online.
